My reasons for choosing a camera are simple.
I want images with fine sharp detail that I can print to any size.
My cameras.
Each camera is unique, and used for different situations.
Hasselblad Xpan with 2 lenses 45mm &
90mm
"35mm camera with superb quality that can be used in panorama
mode or in normal 35mm mode"
Portable, great for overseas travel and prints to large sizes.

image"

Photomax 617 - A camera I designed
and built myself.
"uses 120 film for a 6x17cm image of ultimate quality-
has a dark slide to change lenses at any time"

Schneider Super Angulon XL 72mm f5.6
Schneider Super Angulon 120mm f8
Sinar Sinaron S 210mm f5.6
Nikkor M 300mm f9
My Tripod.
Of course when you want the sharpest
images you must use a tripod.
I need a light, compact tripod for travel and have found the Gitzo
Mountaineers to be perfect for me. They are rock solid and
mostly carbon fibre so don't suffer from vibration.
My tripod head is of course a Gitzo G1172.

My Camera bags.
I only use Lowepro bags and backpacks,
they are absolutely the best.
I have many bags but the Orion AW Trekker
Beltpack is a favorite, easy for travel with quick access
to your cameras.
For serious trekking my Photo Trekker
AW keeps my gear safe and dry.
