My reasons for choosing a camera are simple.

My Tripod.
Of course when you want the sharpest images you must use a tripod.
I need a light, compact tripod for travel and have found the Gitzo Mountaineers to be perfect for me. They are rock solid and mostly carbon fibre so don't suffer from vibration.

My Camera bags.
I only use Lowepro bags and backpacks, they are absolutely the best.
I have many bags but the Orion AW Trekker Beltpack is a favorite, easy for travel with quick access to your cameras.

Fujichrome Velvia in 50iso and now 100iso

These films are the best for landscapes, with ultra fine grain and natural colors I can produce very large prints with superb colors.
 
We sell many 60 & 70inch photographs and sometimes much larger, so we need to know the transparency will print to any size with no loss of detail or sharpness.
 
Recently we had a print made 17metres "56feet" long to fit a wall beside a pool, it is massive but has all the beautiful detail and sharpness of our original.
The image is "Light in the Forest"
 
Flash Photobition did the printing and the client was ecstatic.
They also did another image at 4.5metres 14.7feet high.
